3 Tablespoons of your favorite BBQ or Mexican spices (depends on if you are making BBQ or Carnitas pulled pork)
1 Tablespoon of sea salt and 1/2 Tablespoon of black pepper
Combine the spice rub with the salt and pepper and using your hands rub all over the pork shoulder.
Set the pork shoulder in the crock pot.
Add the vegetable stock, sliced onion, and liquid smoke to the crock pot.
Turn on for for low heat for 9 hours. This will need to cook all day.
Once the timer goes off, using a pair of tongs remove the bones from the crock pot and throw away.
Using a pair of tongs and a large fork, shred the pork in the crock pot and remove any fat. Pour out any any extra juices but keep some so that the pork doesn’t dry out. Keep the crock pot on warm or serve the pork immediately. Enjoy!
